Designing a brand for the NGO from third sector
About the Project
Livreteria Popular Juraci Nascimento is an NGO based in Rio de Janeiro-Brazil known for its innovative service of bringing books to children through a tricycle, known as the Literary Tricycle. Over time, it has evolved and started offering new services to the community. As part of this evolution, it felt the need to revitalize its visual identity to reflect its expansion and continued commitment to positive impact.
The Challenge
With the expansion of its services, the NGO faced the challenge of updating its brand in a way that preserved its history and values while communicating its growing range of activities to the community. Additionally, each of the services needed its own brand.
The Solution
We introduced hand-drawn illustrations featuring organic lines with irregular contours, conveying a sense of authenticity and human warmth. Reducing the logo to an acronym evokes Ex Libris stamps, adding a touch of elegance and personalization that reinforces the organization's connection with its target audience.
This new visual identity not only celebrates the NGO's journey thus far but also lays the groundwork for its future growth and continued impact on the community.

In other words
'Recreating a visual identity is not a straightforward decision, for several reasons. However, after speaking with Gabriel, understanding what he does, presenting our needs, and sharing our vision, he has done a fabulous job, exceeding what we had planned. This is especially noteworthy given that we are an organization that works with literature, playfulness, imagination; we are a child in development. I would like to express our complete satisfaction with the work done by Gabriel.'
